Alicia Church – Plagiarist, Party Crashers or Undocumented Guests?
I was honored to see that Congressman Ted Poe (R) 2nd District Texas took the time to read my article “Party Crashers or Undocumented Guests” on the floor of the United States House of Representatives. Most writers and authors work their entire careers without ever having their work read on the floor of Congress. I’m proud that I had the honor. Unfortunately the glory was somewhat blunted when I actually watched the video.
Some people don’t like to work so hard. They prefer to steal the work of others and claim it as their own. I am of course referring to “Alicia Church” – Plagiarist.
When Congressman Poe read my article little did he know that he was incorrectly attributing it to the fraud and plagiarist Alicia Church. I don’t blame the Congressman for the mistake since he was only reading the article that was fraudulently submitted by Alicia Church – Plagiarist.
However, I have contacted Representative Poe’s office several times to try and get them to correct the erroneous attribution, to no avail. I’m a little surprised and disappointed since his staff seemed to be genuinely concerned about this violation of my intellectual property rights and the violation of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1996 by Alicia Church – Plagiarist.
But maybe not.
Congressman Poe has yet to correct the text on his website, or the video on his YouTube account. I have posted a video response on his YouTube account, but I don’t know if it will be approved or not. It’s the same video posted here. If he makes the correction, I will in turn update this post to reflect those changes.
The video and text is also in the CSPAN archives and in the Congressional Record which Congressman Poe’s staff promised would be corrected…We’ll see. Should I hold my breath?
Plagiarism on the web is a huge problem and we all need to do our part to stop it. I will continue to protect my intellectual property by any means necessary. I hope other authors will do the same.
I guess Alicia Church – Plagiarist didn’t realize she was stealing from a web designer. It will all be spelled out in detail at http://www.aliciachurch.com, the new domain I recently purchased. And to be sure ms. church – plagiarist gets all the notoriety she could ever want for her hard work, I’ll be fully optimizing the site for all the search engines. You don’t have to thank me now dear,…You’ll be thanking me for years!
Like the old saying goes; “Don’t mess with a person who buys ink by the barrel, paper by the ton, or bandwidth by the Gigabyte!”
